.: In the Blue :. Diary of a Weirdo

I was thinking it seems to me that the one good thing that came out of the Sept. 11th attack was that it brought us all together. And while I didn't really want thousands of people to die for such a thing, at least something good came out of this tragedy.

I love my country. I may not always agree with the politicians who run it, but I still love it. It makes me proud to see pictures of the the police and the firefighters who put their lives in danger to help others who were in need. It makes me proud to see that we Americans have gotten over our "us vs. them" mentality long enough to care for our fellow human beings.

Looking back at what I wrote makes me feel like a sentimental fool. Oh well. It's my diary. I can write what I wish to even if it is sentimental crap.
